Nipclub’s Halloween party had a Monsters and Cryptids theme!

What’s a cryptid, you ask?

Cryptids are creatures like Sasquatch or the Mothman!

Gator had given all the Sekurity crew excellent uniforms! They were kind of reminiscent of safari with monster detection gear: a few electronic sensors, GoPro cameras, and backpacks.

As I was about to walk into the bar, I overheard someone saying “killer bees”, so I burst through the door, pointing my EMF meter. Maybe there were giant cryptid bees inside! I looked around. No bees, just friends.

Moo was ending her barktending shift with spooky orange drinks with wispy filaments and bobbing green orbs.

Gator was back from his vacation.

All the pals were there. Harvey and K-Boi were at the bar, and Pearl had invited a Wendigo dressed in a Victorian costume.

He didn’t stay.

Pearl was the one talking about killer bees! They’ve had them at their house before, but luckily, a neighbor is a beekeeper.

Mizz Bassie walked in, and I showed her some of my meters and gauges. The EMF meter was cool. It detects invisible energy and radiation.

It usually spikes before a cryptid sighting. Harvey wanted one so that he could detect stuff.

Pearl was putting out a tray of epic cocktails and Godzilla and King Kong cookies; dessert first is how she rolls. Then, she put out pesto pasta with prosciutto and bloody red wine in claw-stemmed glasses.

Mizz Bassie said Armani was doing better, even gaining weight! Louis and Angus were discussing LATE NITE DJ duties after Alfie’s set.

I greeted P and Jeego and asked if they had seen any monsters lately. They hadn’t.

I decided to look outside around the bar beyond the golf course, so I grabbed my EMF meter and night vision goggles. I thought I spotted something glowing ahead, behind the trees, so I walked faster, silently as cats do.

I had my GoPro camera on my head as well in case I spotted something. I snapped some photos after noticing a spike on my meter. There might be something up ahead!

I didn’t see anything, though. Maybe it’s invisible?

I went back inside the bar while Pearl was sharing photos of herself as a young cat wearing an alligator costume.

I sat and removed the GoPro. Maybe I caught something.

Angus and Louis were playing spooky-themed music from Alice Cooper, Dokken, etc.

Pearl asked if I noticed anything, so I viewed the photos, and one appeared interesting. It showed 2 glowing eyes in the dark clearing with a faint outline of something, an oblong shape?

No arms or legs seen. I told her I might need a drink.

Mizz Bassie said goodbyes to everyone while I was studying the photos.

Angus was running around in a Dracula costume, dancing like a Mad Cat. DJs played a song by a band called Broken Peach that was a mash-up of Thriller and Du Hast.

It was amazing! Everyone was dancing and having a wonderful time.

I found a second photo, stranger than the first. Looked like a small transparent gargoyle.

That was weird! What’s going on outside the Nipclub bar?

I showed it to Louis; he speculated it was a dog in a costume.

I asked if anyone had seen Gator lately. Pearl thought he had left, so maybe he’s playing with us.

Pearl was serving burgers and fries and suggested the creature was hungry.

But if I feed it, what if it’s dangerous and won’t ever leave?

Better to leave it alone.

Pearl left, and Harvey and I looked at the photos while music played.

It had to be Gator playing us!

Harvey wasn’t so sure.

I got behind the bar and fried some crab rangoon and made some more scary drinks while Ozzy and Rob Zombie songs played.

Louis turned in while I stayed there.

Moo was moving about and mentioned she had called an Uber, so I walked her out while staying alert for more monsters.

Last call, so I made a few black water nightcaps with skull-shaped ice cubes. Angus wanted drinks to-go, so I made him a huge box of noms to take home and cocktails in sippy cups.

Time to head out before the nighttime monsters creep in.

I was cleaning up the bar, and an old friend walked in, Kira! I hadn’t seen her for ages!

I offered her a drink. She stayed a bit, so I gave her a small plate of crab Rangoon and showed her my photos from the woods. I mentioned closing soon and offered a to-go bag of noms.

Time to venture into the mysterious night! Hopefully, I’ll capture another photo on the way to my helicopter.

Until next week!
