Magic Star @magic71506 was a delightful Special Guest, and the audience was loving the interview. I think Magic Star’s answer to the magic wand question moved us all. Magic Star advocated for people with chronic pain and illness, who the medical community rarely treats with respect and compassion. It was a powerful moment that moved us all.

It was standing room only when Carter @CarterTheD took the stage. We learned about his PalsFund, which makes money from Carter’s Bandana sales and is used to help pals facing financial distress. Such a lovely initiative!Carter and his dads are planning great trips this year to Maine.

Pumpkin @Cathibun revealed details about the #TheRuffRiderz next ride, but not until he gave us a great interview about his family and friends and, of course, Ruff Riderz! He revealed that the ride to Outer Space was his all-time favorite. Pumpkin also revealed that the next ride will be in New Zealand!

TJs VDayParty2 review
Valentine’s Day meant one thing, and that was it was time for Peyton’s 2nd annual V-day party, better known as #VDayParty2!
The day started with a delicious pancake breakfast! There were so many delicious types of pancakes and different breakfast foods.
After that, it was a special collaboration with Hedgewatch and the HWCafe, with the pawristas serving special Valentine’s Day noms and drinks!
Then it was time for our very own Truman’s world-famous Pub Quiz, with special guest barktender Rebel helping in the pub! As always, they were having so much fun learning music trivia!
Then, finally, the big event of the night, which was the Valentine’s dance! With music from DJs Truman, Mookie, Fuzz and Fiddy, TJ & Bart, Shadow and Jolo, and Candy Liggett!
It was an amazing evening of dancing and having a wonderful time, which proved, once again, that Peyton is the absolute queen of party planning!
Nipclub February 12, 2026: Sekurity Update
Gator made us “Wanted: Cupid” Sekurity avatars for tonight’s pre-Valentine’s Day party!
Gator, Angus, Louis, P and Jeego were all there when I arrived. Angus stayed here long enough to feel tipsy from many martinis.
I brought a giant bouquet of orange roses to share with all the fine ladies and gents at Nipclub and left the bouquet on the bar. Moo is serving fresh scallops with pink peppercorns and a special wine.
I gave Moo a gorgeous bouquet of deep pink and orange roses with green hydrangeas and pincushion proteas, and tulips. I picked the colors to go with her Tortí fur. Moo gave me a big hug!
Angus and I consumed shots plus chocolate cupcakes, which Pearl rapidly served upon her arrival for work. Pearl mentioned her human’s cat, Astro, likes to nibble at heels. Apparently, he’s checking to see how edible the dog and humans might be. Astro is an unusual kitty!
Raven showed up right as I spotted something on one of the motion cameras, so I went outside to investigate. I saw little, but I had my taser ready, set on stun just in case. I heard some rustling, but I think it was a bird. I saw nothing, so I checked around the entire property.
It hasn’t been as busy as it used to be in the past; Nipclub Sekurity is turning into a boring job!
George the duck showed up! He’s usually a rare sight this late at night. I wondered out loud if anyone was playing music, and Angus said he’d play some tunes! With the music, we all had a true late-night fun time, with dancing!
George prepared drinks in pairs, so Pearl is making two drinks for each person, enabling our participation. Sip the left paw drink, sip the right paw drink, rinse and repeat.
This is too much fun!
Now it’s time for cheesecake, more drinks, and to talk about baseball seasons and spring training. LATE NITE tunes, drinks, fun, and we kept the party going until 11:15, Jakku time!
Happy Valentine’s Day to all the anipals!
Until next week!

#FBJam Saturday, February 7, 2026
On Saturday afternoon, our own Truman brought a fan favorite with the return of the #FBJam began! The theme was a celebration of the British Rock invasion!
It was an amazing afternoon of some of the best British music around! There was also British-themed food and drinks like: Toad in the Hole, fish and chips, Kedgeree, jam roly-poly, Scotch whisky, and a Pimm’s cup!
This was my first #FBJam, and I LOVED it!
It’s my honor to announce that Truman plans to bring it back now permanently, with the next one scheduled for Saturday, May 16th! They will announce the theme closer to the date!
Hedgewatch Cafe on February 7, 2026
It was another exceptional Saturday at the Hedgewatch Café as we celebrated Otto, a new purrista added to the team!
Another great selection of drinks and noms was available, including sossidges, mash and gravy, cheesy toast, salmon with nip sauce, nip sparkle sponge cake, a ginger cat latte, nip tea, and biccy. In addition, there were hot nip chocolate and Nana Brock’s catnip gin!
My girl Lil Bit was on her purrista duty again as she worked with great friends Pumpkin and Otto!
It was another wonderful Saturday morning at the HW Café!

Dogs may have kept us company on the hunt, but it was the cats who insisted we invent houses and discover fire.

Nipclub February 5, 2026: Sekurity Update
Thursday, 2-5-26. Nipclub.
Nipclub had a pre-Super Bowl Left Shark party! We have exceptional “Left Shark” themed noms tonight plus the typical game-day noms.
For those of you who do not know what “Left Shark” is about, it refers to a dancer in a shark costume during the now-infamous Katy Perry 2015 Superb Owl half-time show. Please look it up; it’s hilarious!
I’m wearing my Superb Owl Sekurity uniform and doling out the Toronto Cat Rescue link occasionally as our charity of the week.
We’re talking about the Puppy Bowl and Kitten Bowl, usually on before the Superb Owl. This item enjoys immense popularity and is ongoing. Apparently, the Hallmark Channel is the place to find these amazing pet-centric events.
K-Boi (@Kittehdaboi) is spinning some righteous neo-swing music, and the usual suspects are showing up. Seattle P and Jeego (@SeattleP) are very excited about the Superb Owl, as they live in Seattle.
Moo (@MootheMouseCat) is whipping up tropical turquoise sharky cocktails made with blue Curaçao. Deliciousness! There are cupcakes with shark fins, candy sharks in cocktails, etc.
Pearl (@TinyPearlCat) said her home is being attacked by a serenade of crickets. I imagined crickets wooing each other from Juliet balconies. Astro the cat has eaten a ton!
Mizz Bassie (@MizzBassie) was talking about the iguanas where she lives falling out of trees because of the cold and what happens to them. Do they thaw and leave independently, or is there another process involved? We learned they are an invasive species, so few people are saving them. Poor things!
We had a lot of fun talking about Pearl’s new pup and my humans’ new kitteh, then we all ate pizza and crab legs and washed it down with more delicious tropical shark cocktails with umbrellas. For those of us in cold climes, it feels like summer in the islands at Nipclub.
No sekurity issues to report, all is clear, even with the drones, motion cameras and my trusty taser. And no shenanigans either!
Sunday’s Superb Owl promises an exciting game that we all expect.
Until next week!

Walking in the Cold
Hello! Dis is Bart! We are TJ and Bart, and we are ready with a new article for the Anipal Times!
Dis is TJ! We take our duties as writers seriously. And we have a vewy important topic today. Walking in da cold.
Bart: Dat’s wight, TJ. Now we live in Florida, so it does not get too cold here too often. But sometimes it does.
TJ: Dis also for our pals who really have to go through da cold so much during the winter. Dey have real winters. Dis is an important topic!
Bart: Dis is also weally for our humans. Because dey walk us, after all.
TJ: And they don’t walk us any differently than! Man, it is cold outside! Why do they go so slowly?
Bart: Dis is so twue! You know we are low to the gwound! Our pwivate parts are touching the gwass!
TJ: Sowwy if that is too stwong for da readers out there, but dis is an important issue for us doggos! Humans, get da lead out!
Bart: You don’t want to be out dere, wight? Well, we don’t want to be out dere either!
TJ: And yoooose humans are supposed to be da smart ones. If we go inside, then we will all get warm! What is so hard about dat?
Bart: But we also have to have patience with our humans.
TJ: It’s difficult sometimes, though, Bart. Cats have it so good! They can go in da stinky box inside!
Bart: And then da humans clean it. Cats are lucky!
TJ: In da meantime, humans, understand! Faster walks, and less time outside when it is cold!
Bart: Dat’s wight!
TJ: Dis concludes our article. We hope dis helps!
Barnaby the Beagle
Barnaby the beagle wasn’t a fan of freezing weather. The world outside the kitchen window had traded its cheerful autumn colors for white and grey. He was a hound of the field, chasing scents across sunny meadows, not shivering his paws off in the icy air.
This morning, the frosty glass looked cold. Barnaby sighed, a huff that ruffled the fleece throw he was lying on. Barnaby needed to go outside and was gently but firmly guided into his little blue coat with a hood he hated. His human pulled on his leash for him to come along. This morning, the frosty glass looked cold.
Outside, the snow was deeper than his legs were long. He plunged his nose into it, expecting the familiar scent of rabbits. It smelled only of clean, sharp ice.
Then, an unfamiliar scent drifted on the wind. Faint but distinct. It cut through the cold with a warm, sugary hint of something delicious. Barnaby’s ears perked up with the usual droop replaced with focused attention. He followed the trail, his little legs working hard, nose to the ground.
He led his human on a winding path to the edge of the local park, right up to a snow-covered picnic table. There, half-buried in the snow, was a bright red mitten. Tucked inside the mitten was a small, foil-wrapped chocolate bar, likely forgotten by a visitor.
Barnaby nudged the find with his nose, let out a satisfied “A-roo,” then looked up at his human with shining eyes. Freezing weather, he decided, might have its charms after all. Especially if it involved hidden treasure.
