Nipclub February 5, 2026: Sekurity Update

Feb 5 Nipclub

Thursday, 2-5-26. Nipclub.

Nipclub had a pre-Super Bowl Left Shark party! We have exceptional “Left Shark” themed noms tonight plus the typical game-day noms.

For those of you who do not know what “Left Shark” is about, it refers to a dancer in a shark costume during the now-infamous Katy Perry 2015 Superb Owl half-time show. Please look it up; it’s hilarious!

I’m wearing my Superb Owl Sekurity uniform and doling out the Toronto Cat Rescue link occasionally as our charity of the week.

We’re talking about the Puppy Bowl and Kitten Bowl, usually on before the Superb Owl. This item enjoys immense popularity and is ongoing. Apparently, the Hallmark Channel is the place to find these amazing pet-centric events.

K-Boi (@Kittehdaboi) is spinning some righteous neo-swing music, and the usual suspects are showing up. Seattle P and Jeego (@SeattleP) are very excited about the Superb Owl, as they live in Seattle.

Moo (@MootheMouseCat) is whipping up tropical turquoise sharky cocktails made with blue Curaçao. Deliciousness! There are cupcakes with shark fins, candy sharks in cocktails, etc.

Pearl (@TinyPearlCat) said her home is being attacked by a serenade of crickets. I imagined crickets wooing each other from Juliet balconies. Astro the cat has eaten a ton!

Mizz Bassie (@MizzBassie) was talking about the iguanas where she lives falling out of trees because of the cold and what happens to them. Do they thaw and leave independently, or is there another process involved? We learned they are an invasive species, so few people are saving them. Poor things!

We had a lot of fun talking about Pearl’s new pup and my humans’ new kitteh, then we all ate pizza and crab legs and washed it down with more delicious tropical shark cocktails with umbrellas. For those of us in cold climes, it feels like summer in the islands at Nipclub.

No sekurity issues to report, all is clear, even with the drones, motion cameras and my trusty taser. And no shenanigans either!

Sunday’s Superb Owl promises an exciting game that we all expect.

Until next week!

OTLFP January 2026 Wrap-Up

Ooh, what a hug! Fun-filled adventurers, and oh, they sure are fashionistas! What a closet of outfits! It was a lot of fun hearing about postbox spotting and tweet-up meetups.

The last show of January featured Jimmy, Dodger, and Whisky. What a fun, mischievous bunch! It was great hearing about their fun and games, and the last muddy puddles and shenanigans! Every day, they endeavor to bring smiles to their family’s faces and delight in entertaining their humans.

In the adoption segment, we also featured lots of pets in rescue needing homes, and expressed the hope that the featured pets would find their forever homes soon.

Good luck to Beckett of Voice Rescue Texas USA, Kane from Pendle Dogs in Lancashire UK, Biggie from Leicester Animal Aid in Leicester UK, and Buddy from Rescue Coop in South Carolina USA.

Also, good luck to all the other pets in their rescue centres who are waiting patiently for someone to give them a second chance at a forever home.

We have a fun-filled diary of guests planned for February and beyond, so we look forward to seeing you all for the shows next month.

Happy New Year, everyone!

Love and hugs, Millie, Pixie, and the #OTLFP team

Nipclub January 29, 2026: Sekurity Update

Nipclub Jan 29

Nipclub January 29th, 2026, Sekurity Update by Slinky, @Slinky_the_Cat, Sekurity Agent, Late Nite shift

It’s still winter in some areas of the United States, so we had a Nighttime Candlelight Winter Hike night!

I’m wearing a snowsuit to keep warm during patrols outside. There was snow everywhere and lovely lanterns on the trail to light the way. The snow sparkled in the candlelight. Delicious, comforting dishes such as chili accompanied by cornbread, plus warm beverages, were available for everyone.

Gator (@realfakegator) is stuck inside a snow globe; he thought he would just roll along the trails. I pointed out there might be rocks or even a waterfall somewhere…. Oops! He stated he would be fine, provided the falls weren’t comparable to Niagara. The glass is tempered safety glass, so he’s perfectly safe.

Our Nipclub blog charity link isn’t on the blog in its usual spot, so I asked Gator about it, and I mentioned it didn’t work last week. Technical difficulties with our charity lately! So, I’m sharing the Toronto cat rescue website; hopefully, we’ll get some donations.

I went out onto the trail to try out my new security drone! A little way down the trail, the drone caught Raven’s Molly cat tinkling outside! My demeanor suggested no major issue, though I did sternly note the existence of discreet cat facilities in the bar and casita.

Pearl (@TinyPearlCat) is here, but she has been having computer issues, but she’s still serving food and drinks.

Initially, my drone observed a shadow, but since it was an illusion, I am now employing thermal imaging.

No sekurity issues other than Molly peeing next to a tree. Just fun in the snow, great food, hot toddies, and candlelight!

Breeze (@KittehBoi) or as I affectionately call him, K-Boi (@Kittehdaboi) is playing R&B mellow soul meow music to soothe the cold away. We are having fun conversing about cats snuggling on the sofa with their humans, while Pearl serves miniature toasted marshmallow cheesecakes and hot rum toddies with lemon. Perfect desserts for a lovely winter night in the snow!

No spammers or security issues to report; just good, cold fun!

Until next week!

Nipclub, January 22, 2026: Sekurity Update

Nipclub Jan 22

Thursday, 1-22-26. Nipclub.

Our theme was Burns Night to celebrate the Scottish poet Robert Burns. The Sekurity crew is wearing kilts for this special Nipclub party.

Burns Night is a holiday celebrated in Scotland on January 25th. Read more about it https://www.scotland.org/events/burns-night

There was haggis, of course, but few of us were very interested, and for good reason! However, there was fish and chips, plus kedgeree with wild salmon! And scotch whisky! So delicious!

Pearl (@TinyPearlCat) and P & Jeego (@SeattleP) think this is a party about burning things, so the flames are high and the flaming cat GIFs are everywhere! Pearl even made flaming shots of whisky!

Our weekly charity GoFundMe link for Toronto Cat Rescue wasn’t working, so it was difficult to perform serious sekurity checks without the charity link! Sharing the link always attracts spammers (aka sekurity risks). That is why we have security at Nipclub every week.

Even Harvey Button (@HarveyButtonNZ) noticed it wasn’t working. It might have been a broken link, but unfortunately, our blog master wasn’t around to fix it during the party.

Pearl suggested just sending their website as a link- great idea!

Harvey Botton lost a beautiful fursib, Sienna the cat, that morning. Because the event was sad, many people sent Harvey Botton condolences and soft paw hugs.

There was some talk about the upcoming Seahawks championship game on Sunday, going to sports bars to watch, and the gem show coming up in Jakku next week.

Overall, it was a fun night with lively conversation as usual!

Please join #Nipclub every Thursday night for a new, themed anipal party!

Until next week,

Sekurity Jan 15

Thursday, 1-15-26 Nipclub

Nipclub has a snow globe theme this week! We’re celebrating the glorious snow. I was a little late because humans just got a new rescue kitty less than an hour before my shift!

It’s a grand party, with fluffy, dry snow outside. Today, Sekurity agents are wearing amazing snow globe costumes a la Gator (@RealFakeGator), and there are lots of great cocktails and warming noms. So far, I have seen nothing on my first perimeter check of the night. All good! It’s awfully snowy out there, so it’s easy to see everyone’s tracks. Nipclub anipals are having fun, rolling in the snow.

There are lots of questions about the new kitty, but she doesn’t have a name yet. Individuals involved in Trap-Neuter-Return rescued her from a townhome complex, yet she wasn’t homeless; perhaps she was abandoned.

Pearl (@TinyPearlCat) was making exquisite snow globe cookies with clear sugar domes and serving up shots of icy cold snow globe gin. The gin has a super cool round bottle and has a unique flavor.

I keep checking the sekurity cameras and nothing so far. It’s quiet again. Pearl is serving snow globe hard cider while I go outside to check for snow zombies. I thought I saw fresh tracks in the snow through the window! Outside, it was cold, crisp, and clear. I checked out the tracks and followed them out to the casita, and they faded into the trees. Very suspicious.

Upon returning indoors, I observed activity on the camera, proceeded outside, and then pursued the security risk near the tennis courts! Good thing we have motion cameras.

Back to the bar and time for a warm drink. Angus (@Angus_The_Bold) showed up, and he was delightful to chat with. His mommy comes from SoCal, and I’m from NorCal, so we chatted a bit about California. It’s dessert time: chocolate cheesecake, extremely rich and chocolaty.

Finally, I got a decent photo of the new cat and shared it with the Nipclub crew. The humans are thinking of naming her Bettie Page, after the pinup. We talked about the weather as usual, and I’m distracted by the new cat. She’s super cute. Right about the time Pearl was heading out, I bid my farewells and went outside, and my spaceship beamed me up, hovering over the bar.

Until next week!

Hedgewatch Cafe on January 17, 2026

Saturday morning means one thing, and that’s the Hedgewatch Café!

Saturday was another fun-filled day with delicious noms and drinks. The noms included Sossidges with mash and gravy, lasagne with nip bread, salmon with creamy nip, and nip sparkle sponge cake. The drinks included the always popular Ginger Cat Latte, Nip tea & biccy, hot nip chocolate, and Brock’s gingerbread gin!

The vibes were great as always as we moved into the post-Christmas and New Year’s holiday portion of winter. I also helped the last hour as my cat Lil Bit had a purrista shift where she worked with the always amazing Pumpkin! They made a wonderful team!

Lil Bit will be back again for another shift this coming Saturday!

Nipclub, January 8, 2026 Sekurity Update

Thursday, 1-8-26. Nipclub. Happy New Year!

On January 8th at Nipclub, we had an Elvis 90th Birthday Bash theme!

The smell of fried chicken and biscuits permeated the bar when I walked in; it smelled so heavenly. The music was rockin’ with Elvis and Elvis-inspired songs!

Susan and Puddin’ (@Georgiarealist) were waiting for me with freshly fried chicken when I walked in. Louis (@psiangelic) was eating a monstrous peanut butter, banana, and bacon sammich. Moo (@moothemousecat) had served some Welsh rarebit, and Breezyboi (@breezeboi), and Tiny Pearl (@TinyPearl) showed up, and we discussed what Welsh rarebit was. Breeze declared it rarebit, akin to rabbit, since earlier humans lacked rabbit hunting options; thus, cheese sauce served as a replacement.

Huh? After a bit of research and discussion, we learned it’s like a beer cheese fondue that you pour onto thick, rustic bread and put under the broiler.

It’s pub food.

Breeze suggested pumpernickel and Guinness and planned to make it this weekend. Sounds delish!

My Sekurity watch reached over an hour, with no activity present. Slow night. Could security risks still be enjoying time off?

Pearl was serving up Elvis-shaped cookies and banana peanut butter cocktails. Banana, peanut butter, and bacon were on theme, but we were getting grossed out by Elvis-themed pizza, so Pearl made a regular cheese pizza, a lovely butter cake, more fried chicken, and some righteous cocktails.

There were still no sekurity risks yet. I kept checking the sekurity system sensors and cameras we had spread outside the building and the grounds, and nothing was happening. It was so quiet; they must have fixed the algorithm!

More discussion of Guinness ice cream floats, deformed Yeowww catnip bananas, and cat barf in the middle of the night.

Pearl shared images from a vintage Midwest cookbook with recipes for canned shrimp casseroles, Vienna sausage, hot dog towers, etc. That started a whole new conversation about Spam!

No sekurity risks at all tonight. We all had a great time, with the fun music, food, and friendly conversation!

Please join #Nipclub every Thursday night for a new themed anipal party!
